After the G4, LG has now announced a new mid-range smartphone LG Max aka LG Bello II in India. The company has not released the pricing of the smartphone, but has confirmed that it will be launched next month.
The LG Max is the successor to the LG L Bello launched last October. LG has come up with a confusing naming scheme for the smartphone calling it the LG Max in India and Mexico, LG Prime II in Brazil and Chile, and LG Bello II elsewhere.
The successor isn’t much of an upgrade apart from the front camera. It features a 5-megapixel front camera with features like Gesture Shot and Selfie Flash. Gesture Shot allows users to take selfies without pressing any buttons, and the Selfie Flash feature turns the smartphone’s display into a soft flash for portraits. There is also an accompanying 8-megapxel rear camera, similar to its predecessor.
Apart from the camera, the LG Max features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display. It is powered by a similar 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with a 1GB RAM. It offers 8GB of internal memory further expandable via microSD card.
It packs a 2,540mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Connectivity wise, it comes with 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. The LG max weighs 155 grams and will be available in white, titan, and gold color options.
