The OnePlus X should be announced on October 29 as a smaller Android smartphone than the OnePlus 2. So far we’ve heard it might end up costing either $220 or $249, but now it appears that it could actually be a little more expensive.

What you see to the left is a purported leaked promotional image prepared by OnePlus for its next smartphone. As you can see, it shows us quite a bit of the device’s front, but it also has a price attached: CNY 1,699.

At the current exchange rates, that means $267 or 242. Do note that this pricing is probably only going to be valid for China. Internationally the OnePlus X will surely be close to that amount, but it could be slightly different. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the phone going for $249 to $299, and 249 to 299.

According to past leaks, the OnePlus X will feature a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP selfie snapper. The source of the leaked promo image also says the handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 SoC, and will have 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of storage.

  1. OnePlus..please stop taking advantage of the consumers…the only phone you were awesome with was the OnePlus One. Now it seems like you have no clue what new to create.

  2. They make people fools only because now oneplus has a good name in market i thing still oneplus one is better there is no difference btw x & one both prices are almost same i prefer you people should buy Meizu metal awesome phone with better specs.

  3. Why u du dis? XP
For that amount of money,I would rather get an xiaomi mi4c!

  4. Wow what a ripoff, $267 for a smaller OnePlus One, they think people is dumb enough to pay that or to trade a Samsung $700 flagship for a $380 OnePlus 2

  5. oh the glory days of snapdragon 801, wished there is a 64-bit snapdragon 801

  6. i think they made new device from old one plus stock parts, same sd801, 3gb ram, 13mp camera. nothing new. if this device dont have finger print reader then it will be a fail, & that invite system oh great! buy moto x2 instead, almost same price in india(20k) & similar specs except for ram is 2gb in moto x2 no need invites.

  7. this company will be dead in 1 year if they dont start selling their phones in regular way and stop that inviting system.

This year the options are so many – moto g, moto x, asus, nexus 5x, 6p, huawei and these guys have no clue what to do.

  9. Never settle? More like, first, settle for an invite system that takes weeks or months for you to place your order. Second, settle for a lackluster phone at a lackluster price.

  10. adlk, 6 hours agoi think they made new device from old one plus stock parts, same sd801, 3gb ram, 13mp camera. … moreMotorola play. Good phone

  11. Looks like a black iphone from front
All specs are same as Mi4

  12. Wow! Finally, a company steps up to make a “phone” which can be used “one-handed” and shows light to all those phablets which are moving towards a senseless design language! SD 801 is still a very capable processor (even the SD800). What we need is “software optimization” which I’m sure the OnePlus team are going to nail. This phone is a no-brainer for people yearning for that form factor which was lost with the Nexus 5, S4 and LG G2!!! I’m getting this ASAP!!

  13. Fish? Will we be able to play with it via pushing the screen?

  14. Its a little overpriced since one plus one which was released in April or may …have the same price then according to time its price should not exceed 15k

Also, awesome to see the company that made the 2016 flagship killer is still around…I kind’a thought they disappeared after getting laughed at by everyone ever.
