Samsung has finally started rolling out the long-awaited Lollipop update for the Wi-Fi-only version of its Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) tablet. The two year-old device carrying a model designation SM-P600 follows its LTE (SM-P605) brother, which started getting Android 5.1 a month earlier.

The Exynos 5420 powered device, released two years ago, naturally comes second to the cellular model with a Snapdragon 800 inside. A similar pattern was observed with the different versions of the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

  1. droidsaad, 6 hours agojust why no galaxy tab pro 8.4 ??who are you asking?

  2. Is this some kind of a joke? People are rolling out Marshmallow updates nowadays!
Just like how my 2012 Galaxy Tab 10.1 hasn’t gone anywhere beyond 4.0.4?

  3. still no update on my EU variant Samsung s5 to 5.1.1. Jesus Christ! Im a samsung user but i want to buy an iphone. lol

  4. I had one of these tablets and loved it.

Would really like a new one, but after two years no news on a successor. Which is a bummer. I have a Galaxy Note 4 as my mobile, so a 7″ tablet is pretty useless for me. I want something at the 10″ mark, but aside from the Sony Z4 tablet, it seems impossible to find anything high end now. :-(

  5. So where’s the 5.1.1 upgrade for the LTE version then?

I have a Note 10.1 and I haven’t got any upgrades at all. Perhaps it’s time to drop Samsung’s tablets and go iPad.

  6. This is a niche product people. Stop complaining of the late update. It is not even popular device.

Even those tablets that are “better” (iPad air 2, xperia Tablet Z4) are not that better hardware wise and they’re certainly worse in community. (The note series have some of the best communities, period).

Ipads are toys btw. No pen, mediocre multi window, no Linux support. This tablet is the only true tablet in the market. Xperia Z4 is also good but has no development by the community.

  11. AmirMS, 48 minutes agoWhat about SM-P601?
Please answer…seems it has 5.1.1 in Russia and India already. I think it’s a matter of time to reach you.
