#sorry for bad englishActually Xiaomi makes money even after selling it’s product by taking your data and also it gets money for particular apps u install on your xiaomi phone. So, it rather makes no money with stock android which is why it should go with SD625.

  2. psk7ooo, 18 hours agoIf they launch A1 with sd625 no will buy it as k8 note and coolpad play 6 are killing the 15k … moreFunny thing is not all people are buying their phone based on specs. They look how good the design is, how good the camera is, heck, even some just bought it because it looks similar to iPhone or maybe some other personal preference. I’ve seen a lot of people like that.

  3. Sadly it will be a sd625 or sd626 chip(sd 630 clocks at 2.2ghz) . How is android one different from regular android? Who controls the software? And how long it is supported?

  4. yogesh., 17 hours agoEarlier android launched 3 android phones in India promising 2 yrs of software update, but it … moreThey actually gave updates… Launched with KitKat and eventually got updated til marshmallow i think

Google does the same and no one bats an eye but when mi does it (which it does not have any gain from doing since it doesn’t have ecosystem in India, plus which apps are you talking about mi picks? All are on Google play store from which Google gets money. Mi store is not even available in India) everyone loses their minds

  6. psk7ooo, 18 hours agoIf they launch A1 with sd625 no will buy it as k8 note and coolpad play 6 are killing the 15k … moreThis is android one.. That is enough for most of the people to buy. Since you will get software update directly from google. And it is pure android..

  7. Tsuki, 20 hours agoNo …pls no. At least SD 660 is neededIt cannot and must not get better chipset than Mi 5X. This Mi A1 is supposed to be stock android version of Mi 5X. If it have better chipset then it will kill Mi 5X sales. Why you people still dont understand this? Just be grateful there a stock android version by Xiaomi. Mi 5X is almost $250 btw, so I expect Mi A1 should be cheaper due to less rich features in stock android. Its really going to affect the camera experience without MIUI. I know because stock android camera is so terribly basic and boring like almost feature-less. Its not going to do any justice for the dual camera.

  8. yogesh., 17 hours agoEarlier android launched 3 android phones in India promising 2 yrs of software update, but it … moreFor your information, previous android one devices received two major software updates. device came with kitkat and it was upgraded to lollipop and marshmallow and one year of security update after that. Android one devices were the first to get Android 5.1 even before nexus. You cannot get these many updates in any phone other than Nexus/Pixel..

  9. Luxor, 8 hours agoIt cannot and must not get better chipset than Mi 5X. This Mi A1 is supposed to be stock andro… moreMi5x won’t launch in the world so that point of killing sales is invalid. 660 would mark xiaomis entry to upper midrange territory. Would be a different category. India hasn’t got a mi phone worth more than 15k since launch of MI5 anyways. A1 would be ideal entry to that region

  10. Huh, Good Specs. So what. If the battery can’t even last 1 full day without charging. Makers still don’t learn. It is the BATTERY stupid!!

  11. Merwyn Fernandes, 19 hours agoIt was supposed to be cheap BTW that didn’t work out for google hence google decided to scarp … moreActually that’s why google partnered with Nokia.

  12. john, 12 hours agoSadly it will be a sd625 or sd626 chip(sd 630 clocks at 2.2ghz) . How is android one different… more(MSM8953) which is shown in the benchmarks is Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 So its almost confirmed that its 625 if these benchmarks are true.

  13. Anonymous, 8 hours agoActually that’s why google partnered with Nokia. BTW Android One And Partnership with Nokia are two different things
In case of Android One google directly updates the phones

But when it comes to Nokia it’s Nokia who is updating the phones
Same as Motorola and other phones who use stock Android.

  14. rakesh0991, 19 hours agoi’m tired of this 625 shit….it doesn’t give you the raw performance of sd650/652….maybe he… moreIt’s not about that
Now people are complaining that a 630 is better than 625 why 625 give us at least 650 or 630
A phone launches with 630 no it’s good give us at least 660
See where I’m going? They will complain no matter what

Mi A1 and Mi5x are for different markets so how will they eat into each others profit

Mi5x is only for China and it won’t be launched in India

And MiA1 will only Be launched in India and not in China

Do you think people will start importing huge no of phones from China and Vise Versa So that they will eat into each others profit

These two phones are for different markers and Xiaomi has no problem with them eating into each others profits

And Mi A1 won’t kill Mi5X in any way ,shape or form

Also regarding stock android its better in many ways than miui cause of faster updates also its stable and bug free,Smooth and battery efficient which results in better battery life and bloatware free os

In contrast Miui is a bloated OS with unnecessary features ,Buggy software and you will have to just forget about Android updates as you will only get Miui updates also its just an imitation of iOS

Hence It depends on people as to what they prefer a stable bug free Os with frequent updates or a Huge laggy Os filled with unnecessary features and no updates at all.

And Regarding Cameras Pixel was one of the best camera phones of last year with Stock Android

  16. To me the SoC seems to be more of Snapdragon 630 with dual channel memory at 1113 Hz frequency.

I also did not know Mi 5X only for China because as of recently I have read that Xiaomi going to launch Mi 5X globally. But that still doesnt justify it to have better chipset than its China counterpart, the Mi 5X. That is the main argument here.
