Apple might move back to metal for one iPhone 9 model

The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X all have glass backs, having moved away from the metal rears of past generations, but according to a source at least one of 2018’s models might switch back to a metal rear. Speaking to Nikkei, the source, who’s apparently “privy to the company’s product designs”, said that Apple will launch a 6.1-inch LCD phone that will “probably” have a metal back available in several colors.

But they’re both high-end handsets with high-end prices to match and they both have serious gaming skills, so there will be some crossover in their appeal. With that in mind we’ve created this comparison, seeing how the

But the video shows the effect done on video something the actual iPhones cant pull off. It does look quite cool though, maybe well see something similar in future iPhones. At any rate, it was cool to see what this feature could do in motion.

DeutscheBank: Anniversary OLED iPhone will be delayed until next year

AppleiOSRumors Analysts are becoming increasingly sure that the new OLED iPhone will be delayed – Deutsche Bank joins KGI in predicting that supply shortages of key components will not allow the overhauled iPhone to launch alongside the iPhone 7s. The 7s will be an incremental improvement over the current iPhone 7 without much novelty. The OLED-packing iPhone (aka iPhone 8), is a much bigger upgrade. The OLED screen is just one of the new components, rumors also suggest 3D sensing cameras and brand new 3D touch. We may be saying goodbye to the Home button and screen bezels with this update too.…
