Some iPhone X units have faster LTE speeds than others, new study shows

Apple has been trying to divorce itself from chipmaker Qualcomm in bits and pieces, which you may already know about from the headlines about the ongoing legal spat. You may not know, though, that one of the consequences of this staggered departure is that some iPhone X units carry Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem chips while others have XMM7480 chips made by Intel. Apple posted a video dubbed Portraits of Her, which promotes the new and improved Portrait mode of the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, specifically the cool Portrait Lighting feature.
